A Hard Look at My Media Habits

In my quest to find some really great blogging ideas I stumbled across Chris Brogan's site http://chrisbrogan.com and his amazing list of 100 Blog/Podcast Topics he wanted or hoped to see written.
So I've decided to challenged myself that for the next 30 days I will pick one topic daily and blog about it.
I decided to select today "A Hard Look at My Media Habits".

What are my media habits? Entertainment and gossip, what is my life??
My media of choice - People, Popsugar and MediaTakeout all entertainment and gossip websites.  I am pretty sure there are others but those would be my top 3.
I am an entertainment whore, I can tell you everything there is about what is going on in Kim Kardashian's life. I know where Rihanna was last and am still deciding on whether or not Beyonce is really pregnant.  What is the fascination? Why am I drawn to that?

I live for logging at at 10am on Mediatakeout to check out the latest gossip; the headlines scream "DAYUMMMMMMMM!!! We Got Pics Of KHLOE KARDASHIAN . . . Without MAKEUP Or Her WEAVE . . . We Could Say She's BUSTED . . . But That's An UNDERSTATEMENT!!!
Really? but I am clicking that headline to see her without her makeup and without her weave of course.

For me I enjoy seeing these celebrities at their worst hehe, they are just like me. They have their good days and their not so good days. I understand now why they really need the big bucks.
I laugh at these entertainers pain and their failures and sometimes secretly wish I had their money.  Wait did I just say that out loud?  In reality most of these celebrities are just looking for happiness to be left alone but they need to realize in the business they're in there is no such thing as privacy. We are obsessed with their failures and their heartbreaks. These sites have made me realize that these celebrities are normal people some more messed up than others.
Some enjoy the drama and some are allergic to the negativity.
 
I have cut back a lot however, I was buying the Star and Enquirer every week so I could read about who was divorcing, who was caught up in a cheating scandal and why Jennifer Aniston just can't seem to find a man ( oh wait she now has a man)!
