I am a single mom raising two great kids, that in itself is bragging rights for me as I am doing this with no help from the ex. You bet I am a proud mom.
Let me start by bragging about "the girl". where do I start? My daughter is one of the most compassionate person I have ever met and she makes me strive to be a better person. She is my rock, the ying to my yang my best friend. She has always been a great student, she studies hard and is a member of the Junior and National Honor Society. She has won numerous academic awards, she was the first student in our hometown to make it to the state finals in the Lion's Club Speech competition.
She was named the 2011 Young Woman of Consequences for her academic and community services (oh her name is in stone at City Hall) that's definitely worth bragging about. She is now attending an Ivy League School in RI and I couldn't be more proud of her. She is a phenomenal young woman.
Now on to "the boy", hmmm the boy is a ROCK STAR. He is an awesome drawer and is self taught on the keyboards. I thought autism was a death sentence but that was before I knew what it was. He has made tremendous strides and continues to break those barriers. In keeping up with his sister he has continually made First Honors at school and is really coming into his own. He is going through puberty and very fresh OMG!! With that being said through the good, the bad and the ugly I would not trade him for the world.
The other love of my life!
And to think after my divorce (the darling ex) told me I would never make it alone.
